Fitposing is a like that Japanese gameshow where you have to match your body to various cookie-cutter shapes. It was a half day hack for the facebook-wearables hackathon in 2013, where it won the Fitbit prize. It was also entered in the Extreme iPad Challenge, where it placed finalist.

StatusBeta – Wearable Device Testing Platform

I extended to a testing platform, a website that might look like an app store but is really just a bunch of my own Glass hacks – with virtual tryouts.

And then I entered it in the Salesforce Million Dollar Hackathon… which was a bit haphazardly managed, such that they ended up giving a tie for first place and up-ing the first place prize to giving away two million dollar prizes – however, I did not win. (I would probably not be feeling glum enough to document my hacks, if that happened.)

gyroFIRE Tryout – A Glass Simulator

Basically, this lets you tryout Google Glass without actually having Glass on your regular mobile phone – well, gyroFIRE at least, where you can vicariously rotate a virtual head around to shoot stuff in Glass view o.O

My co-hack partner was a ditzy Unity frontend only person, so he just did the form-based UX design, but he hasn’t done that many projects so he actually described it on his linkedin as well.

MakerAR World Builder

At Makerfaire San Mateo, this year, I showed MakerAR World Builder, which lets you assemble robots and planets and circuits and a whole bunch of other 3d mesh objects in 3d augmented reality – using some awesome realtime ARM-optimized SLAM that lets people build AR stuff on potentially any surface. To demonstrate, we had kids (and others) go up to our tarp surface and draw all kinds of random stuff on it. Tracking surface pointcloud updated in real time – the more crazy the drawing, the better the augmentation

Enter a search term or select from color swatches via Shutterstock API. Swipe to browse through images to add to your lightbox. Features semantic image search, finding similar images by pinching in on an image (pinch out to go back). Touch a candidate lightbox image and drag to your pasteboard.
