StatusBeta – Wearable Device Testing Platform

yosun — Sun, 17 Nov 2013 12:51:01 +0000

I extended to a testing platform, a website that might look like an app store but is really just a bunch of my own Glass hacks – with virtual tryouts.

And then I entered it in the Salesforce Million Dollar Hackathon… which was a bit haphazardly managed, such that they ended up giving a tie for first place and up-ing the first place prize to giving away two million dollar prizes – however, I did not win. (I would probably not be feeling glum enough to document my hacks, if that happened.)

gyroFIRE Platform – Scoble @ TechCrunch

Scoble invited me to show off some of my Glass Hacks as the wildcard entry with a 1 in 6 chance of winning $10k in his Glass event during TechCrunch – since many of them use the gyroscope, I tried expanding to a startup-ish, generalizing a natural user interface platform based on the gyroscope – along with some other sensors, such as camera (CV), light sensor, connectivity.

The app demo’s I showed were:

Creativity – gyroSculpt
Data – Weather Glass
Shop – StyleZapper
Build – Minecraft for Glass (basically, gyroFIRE Create mode)
3D Angry Birds for Glass (really, just launching things that bounce around)
